Hypnosis is often far simpler and more familiar than people think.
We all experience natural trance states daily, for example when driving, watching television, or becoming completely absorbed in a story. Hypnosis is a gentle state of focused attention, where you feel deeply relaxed while remaining fully aware and in control. Many people describe it as peaceful and comforting, like allowing the words to flow over you while your mind stays present. You remain awake throughout, and you can stop, speak, or adjust the session at any point. You are always in control.

That’s absolutely fine. While it’s rare to fully fall asleep, people experience trance at different depths. Even if you drift very deeply, your subconscious mind is still listening and responding.
Even if your mind feels busy or you struggle to relax at first, that doesn’t stop the work happening. I’ll guide you gently back at the end of the session, so there’s no need to worry about “switching off” too much.

Most people can be hypnotised, as hypnosis is a natural state that we all experience. Even if your mind feels busy or you’re prone to overthinking, hypnotherapy can still be highly effective.
That said, it isn’t a quick fix. Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process, and your openness, participation, and current circumstances all contribute to the results. Together, we’ll create change in a way that feels practical, supportive, and sustainable.

Everyone experiences it slightly differently. Some people feel heavy and grounded, others feel light or floaty. You might notice slowed breathing, a sense of calm, or gently drifting thoughts.
There’s no “right” way to feel – whatever you experience is exactly what your mind needs in that moment.

Every client and situation is unique. While 8–12 sessions are typically recommended, some people achieve their goals in fewer.
The more committed you are to the process, the sooner you’re likely to notice progress. Many clients begin to feel positive changes from the very first session.

That’s exactly what the Initial Consultation is designed for.
It’s a calm, no-pressure conversation where we can chat about what’s been going on, I’ll guide you through how everything works, and you can ask anything you need. If it doesn’t feel like the right match, that’s completely okay, there’s no obligation to go any further. And while there’s never any pressure, hypnotherapy has been truly life-changing for so many people. If you’re feeling curious, it may be worth exploring and seeing how it feels for you.

Yes online hypnotherapy is just as effective as in-person sessions.
All you need is a quiet, comfortable space, a stable internet connection, and ideally some headphones.
A lot of my clients find online sessions convenient, as they save time and allow them to fully relax in the comfort of their own home.
